Billy Steinway is a music producer, composer, and keyboardist currently based in Los Angeles, California.
Born in Wisconsin from a musical family, Steinway showed a natural talent for piano at age four, as well as an eclectic musical taste.
After relocating to southern California in 1989 and over the last twenty years, Steinway has worked with world renowned artists like Stevie Wonder, Natalie Cole, Patti Austin, Jeffrey Osborne, Larry Carlton, The Jazz Crusaders and Danny Carey (drummer of Tool).
In addition, he has toured with other Platinum Record and Grammy winning artists such as Peabo Bryson, Taylor Dayne, Freddie Jackson and Award-winning Japanese guitarist Tak Matsumoto.
Bill has also recorded and/or toured with countless other stars like Bobby Caldwell, Gary Wright, Paul “Shilts” Weimar, Warren Hill, Ronnie Laws, Howard Hewett, Down to the Bone, Chaka Khan, The Dazz Band and Adam Ant.
With his exceptional versatility, he is able to create a wide variety of musical styles with remarkable authenticity. Rock, soul, jazz, blues, and country are effortlessly created from Steinway’s fingertips.
Steinway also has a flair for cutting edge technology and for merging the old with the new. Billy has a huge passion for vintage instruments, such as Fender Rhodes and Wurlitzer electric pianos, Hammond B3 organ, acoustic piano, Horner D6 Clavinet and Moog synthesizers.
